The Death Set est décidément maqué avec la bande de Mad Decent. Après avoir dévoilé son duo avec Diplo, le groupe australien expatrié sur la côte Est ricaine balance une mixtape réalisée pour Mishka, les graphistes officiels de MD.
Autant vous prévenir: Artificially Sweetened est un vrai bordel. Attention, pas dans le sens péjoratif du terme, mais plutôt à l’image d’une bande de potes se disputant la souris sur un ordi blindé de mp3s servant à alimenter en son une soirée appart très arrosée.
The Death Set donne içi un résumé plutôt détaillé de ses différentes sources d’inspiration: on passe du hip hop au punk, des B52′s à Fugazi, des Zombies à Aphex Twin, le tout sans aucun problème.
Bien plus qu’une simple collection de mashups, cette mixtape est un party starter totalement idéal. Mais, comme le dit Toilet Cobra chez Mishka, cette teuf là, on évitera peut être de la faire chez soi, car son contenu est une invitation claire et nette à la débauche et au cassage de meubles.
