Launched in 2005 in Bremen (Germany), “Vinyl” is an exhibition based on the personnal collection of Belgium edtitor Guy Schraenen. After Porto in 2006 and Barcelona, La Maison Rouge in Paris is now welcoming this 800 LPs collection next February. It’ll tell you everything about Futurism, Dadaism, Fluxus. Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Richard Hamilton will be at the party.
But for those who really wants to know about the true album covers history, let’s take the chance to mention a couple of cool books of the worst and funniest designs ever printed on records:
> So you can get Guy Schraenen book.
> A great series of 5 books about vinyl covers (Comics, Yeye, Eros, Rock…) on Ereme Editions’s website.
> But you can also get “Seriously Bad Album Covers” by Nick Difenzo.
