Last September, 50 Cent (aka Curtis Jackson) released a book called “the 50th Law” where he (obviously) joins forces with Robert Greene, bestselling author of “The 48 Laws of Power” (which Kanye West and Young Buck have rapped about), to write a bible for success in life and work based on a single principle: fear nothing. We’ve already heard him talkin’ ’bout that matter in his album “Get Rich or Die Tryin”.
Based off stories from 50 Cent’s life on the streets and examples of others who have overcome adversity through practicing the 50th Law, the book comes right on time. Times of worldwide massive layoffs, times of bankruptcies, finantial times.
So I bet 50 thought, “time to reassure people, time to take advantage of the situation.”
In 1937, during the Great Depression, a guy had thought so too. His name is Napoleon Hill and his book titled “Think And Grow Rich” would promote the Positive mental Attitude (like Bad Brains’s song “Attitude” written as a reference to his book), personal achievement in other words.
This book, based on the author’s study called “The Law Of Success”, sold to this day over 30 million copies!
So let’s wish good luck to 50 with his 2009 attempt, we know now he at least got a bankable recipe.
